Birthday Wishes

I made this card using my butterflies and blossom's pattern paper pkg. This card I made for my Best Friend who's birthday is August 6th. I cut the scallopped punch and circle punch with my cricuit machine as well as all the flowers. I added a pink polka dotted button on the far left hand corner flower and tied it with a silver ribbon. The other two were cut using the cricuit machine as well and I added 2 small buttons in the center of each. I also added white dots around the petals of the flowers. It feels good to create again it has been so long. I went to Hobby Lobby lastnight and there is so many new things that I am not familiar with yet. I am anxious to get off work to start off the 4th of July weekend. It is finally here! Everyone have a safe and fun Holiday! Stephanie :)

Happy Birthday Cake

This is a card I made using my cricuit machine. Sweet Treats! It is the shape of a birthday cake, and I stamped "Birthday Wishes" from one of my $1 Michael's stamp in the center of a circle punch that I also cut out using my cricut machine. I then cut out a smaller birthday cake in yellow and added the stripped paper over the top. The picture does not serve justice and I am sorry, someone borrowed my camera for a wedding and I need to get it back ASAP! Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!!

Happy Birthday Cupcake Card

This cute little cupcake card I made using my cricut machine cartridge "Sweet Treats" sorry the picture is so distorted I had to take the picture using my blackberry camera. Card base is pink, the patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby, I used a white scalloped patterned paper for the top of the cupcake, brown for the outside and pink on the inside, tied with an adorable little bow. I added some little dazzle beads on top of the cupcake to look like sprinkles. I love my cricut I just need to utilize it more... I just thought I would share this one... I wish the picture turned out better, cause the card is really adorable in person...

This is my card using my new Inkadinkado set! This little turtle is one of many animals in this set. I colored this cute little guy in with watercolored pencils and added purple stickles to the circles on him. The paper is from the paper studio. I added the sentiment "Hey There" using word document. Added some flowers and 2 brads at the top of the card as well as my circle punch. Pretty cute! I started to do a scrapbook page lastnight for my book and I just couldn't figure out what background patterned paper I wanted to use, maybe tonight I will have more of an inspiration, you know you have those days now and then when you stamp or make something, sometimes the inspiration is right there and other times it just doesn't come together for me. I have not been on my blog in so long so I am trying to update it and also post some cards that I have made. I haven't stamped a whole lot as I have been under the weather. The cancer medication they have me on has brought my immune system down and so I have been catching everything. I have missed stamping so much. I did a few cards at Easter and then I put this one together as a thank you card. The butterflies are actually stickers I purchased from the Dollar Tree. I love the black and green together it made a pretty thank you card. So much has been going on, my daughter graduated in May then shortly after that I came down sick for almost a month. I have been doing a little stamping here and there I just need to get them uploaded onto my blog. I hope everyone has a nice weekend... It is terribly hot here in Wichita, KS tomorrow swimming! hooray!

This card I made for a friend of mine who lost her Mother the other day. I used black card stock for the base of this card and I made the flower using my cricut machine. I know ladies I have been gone a long time. I have had a lot going on with me. As many of you know I was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago this March. I am a survivor and have finished my reconstruction process. I had both of my breasts removed on March 29, 2010 and had implants with nipple reconstruction. I have also began a new life and have moved out on my own with my two girls. It has been a long journey for me. I sit every single night and try to get inspired to stamp and create it is going to take me some time I sure do miss it. I have brought out all my stamps and I hope over the next couple of weeks or months that I will get inspired. I have missed everyone. I hope you enjoy today's card...

Happy Valentine's Day

I put this together lastnight. It is about a 4" bottle that is sealed at the top. I took some heart patterned paper and adhered it along the outside of the bottle. I then used my scalloped punch to punch out the pink paper and adhered it with my white circle punch and stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" in the center. I then added a heart pink ribbon and filled it up with some Hershey Kisses! This is the first item I have made since September. I have been busy with surgeries etc. I just finished my last surgery on December 28th and I really really enjoyed sitting down and making something lastnight. I also added some glitter heart stickers around the outside of the bottle. I brought it to work and all the girls were like ahhh it is so cute... I hope everyone is having a good New Year so far. I hope to make something even more spectacular tonight! Later peeps!

I am back hip hip hooray! Happy New Year to you all! I have been purchasing some awsome stuff to start my crafting up again. 2010 has been a tough roller coaster ride. I feel so terrible that I have not posted anything... I just haven't had the will power girls to get myself in the mood so I took some months off from my paper crafting world to just focus on getting myself well. I hope to have some awsome stuff posted in a few days. I hope all is good with everyone and a very Happy New Year to you all! I hope I have not missed out on any new and improved card making tips!

Halloween Goodie Bags!

Are these not the cutest? I just love love love them! I made 20 of these for my kindergarten step daughter's class! She was elated when I finished them! I used my cricuit machine to cut out the goodie bag. I used 20 sheets of black paper, I then adhered different colored Halloween paper on each one, using a 4" rectangle and I also cut it out using the cricut machine. I then adhered stickers on one side of them and added two tied ribbons in Halloween colors. I will then fill up a Halloween clear bag with candy and tie another Halloween colored ribbon around it. I can't wait to hand them out to the kids. I also wasn't able to upload my daughter's kindergarten scrapbook page my computer locked on me so I will try and load that up on my next post... I maybe moving my blog to typepad I am going to try it out for a month and if I like it I will move my blog. I hope you like these cute little bags!

I have been super busy this weekend in my scrap room. I decided to clean it up and rearrange so I would have lots of room to do some projects. My oldest daugher Sarah is graduating in May and I have had a scrapbook for her since 1998 it was given to her for her Birthday from her Aunt Janeine and low and behold Mom is just now getting started on it, so I thought what a great Graduation gift to have it finished of her from birth to her 18th year! I don't scrapbook much I am more into card making but I got some wonderful ideas on Friday and I decided to go to Hobby Lobby and get some good stuff to put some pages together. I am amazed at how well they have turned out.... I hope all of you enjoy them as well. I used a lot of the papers from Hobby Lobby, the swirls are made with my cricut machine. Some of the lettering on these pages was made with the cricuit machine and the picture of her kindergarten page the circles were made with the cricut machine. I absolutely love that machine! Scrapbooking is not something I would want to do ~ it takes too long to put a page together and I get bored with it. A Card is much simplier to put together. As I sit and did it so many memories came to mind. My baby is almost grown I am so happy for her but I never looked forward into the future to the present day and thought of her being grown. She is so special to me has never got into trouble and does what she is told I did something right raising her :) My Mom would have been proud. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed putting them together. I am super excited to give this to her in May :)

Surgery update...& time missed!

Hi ladies, it has been 2 months since I posted anything on my blog. I have been in a depression sort of and I feel so bad for not creating anything to post. I finally went down lastnight and dusted off my stamping table and cleaned it up a bit. I want to get some stamping done but my inspiration is just out the door! I need to search for idea's so I can come up with some stuff to do while I am off having surgery. Oct 26th is the surgery date for my exchange from expanders to saline implants. This is the 2nd part of the reconstruction of my chest. I have been doing good ~ but the depression part has got me hard. I haven't forgot about you, I just have got to get myself back in the grove and I am hoping to do so soon. I have seen a lot of cool projects for Halloween and Christmas that I want to do. I just wanted to give you an update as to what has been going on and why I haven't been on in such a long long time...

Baby Boy Elephant

This was so simple and just so adorable. Card base is light blue from The Paper Studio, I then used my cuttle bug for the embossed white paper "Swiss Dots" the square is light blue again, then I added a doodlebug design sticker which is an elephant in blue, I used "wishing you joy" stamp from Kolette Hall's collection "Joy" I then adhered a perfect little boy blue ribbon.. so precious! Tell me what you girls think about all 3 cards? I think I just love this one!

Here is my second card that I made for the upcoming babies that are due. This one is done in light blue for card base, I then layered a soft yellow on top of the light blue. I then added the patterned paper which is "light polka dot on cream" The Paper Studio. I then using my cricuit machine cut out several star patterns, using the light blue and yellow that layers over them. I then used blue beads and adhered them all in the center of each star. I then used the cricuit machine to cut out the word "BABY" in light blue and yellow letters I then adhered a perfect blue ribbon to the card. The stamped image is done in a light blue the stamped image is from Stampabilities "Tiny Feet". I have another baby card I am making as we speak, I am not quite hip with this one or the one previously. So I found some inspiration and I hope that you stampers out there can tell me which one you think is the nicest of them all? I will post as soon as I am finished. It was a crazy Monday at work, we are just busy, it is summertime and I work for a travel company, we had so many reservations that needed to be made today. My fingers were flying across the key board. Oh well job security :) smile!

Thinking of You...

Hi Peeps! What a wonderful evening this has been! I have created so much in my stamping room tonight and it felt so great! :) Here is a Thinking of You card using my Stampabilities stamp "Sketched Flower 2" I colored her with copic marker RV02 Sugar Almond pink. I also used G02 Spectrum green. Then after it was colored I added some stickles, fruit punch for the flower and the white part of the flower I used my diamond stickles. Card base is pink from The Paper Studio, the patterned paper is "Girl Multi Stripes" from The Paper Studio. I topped it off with a cute green polka dotted ribbon! My Aunt who is in her 80's just loves my cards so I thought I would send her some thing a little more fancy. I truly hope she enjoys this card. I have been having alot of fun tonight. It has been way to long since I have stamped. I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. I have a feeling that once I do then the second surgery will be around the corner. Baby Boy in Blue

I have two ladies who are pregnant at work and Cheryl's baby is due first so this is the card I put together for her little bundle coming soon. And yes "It's a Boy" I am purchasing her a gift this weekend and wanted to make her a special card. Now I have never really done a baby card before, those usually come few and far between for me. But here is the finished card. The card base is light baby blue, then cream all from The Paper Studio, the darker blue is called Evening Surf. The light polka on cream is layered on top of the cream colored paper, the square with images of stork, rattle etc. is Sweat Pea Icons from The Paper Studio. I then used my stamp "Tiny feet" from Stampabilities in blue ink for the circle punch. I adhered a nice baby blue ribbon. I then used my cricuit machine and typed out the word "BABY" for the left side of the card, also adhered some dazzle beads (blue) top right hand corner. I was so stumped when putting this card together, it took me 2 nights to finish. I would rearrange the word "BABY" all over the card and finally decided with this look. I hope she really likes it. Up next is another baby card that I am putting together tonight but might not be able to upload it tonight but we will see. Thanks for the comments on the last post with the butterfly card. It feels good to be stamping again!

Hi ladies! It has been so long since I have posted but I wanted to show you the card I finally made. It felt so good to stamp again. I absolutely love red/black and white together it makes such an elegant card. The stamp used in this card is My Sentiments Exactly! but there is no name of the manufacturer. So weird I know that I purchased it at Michael's about a year ago but there is no name? But anyway here is the card that I put together. Card base is black, then layered in red, then black then the patterned paper. I then layered the square white, then black then red and ended up stamping my image on the red paper. I haven't done that before and I wanted to try it and this is how it turned out. I also added a nice satin ribbon in the background. I stamped the words inside the card bottom right "Forever on my mind, forever in my heart" which came with my card maker kit last delivery. I think this card would be more of a Valentine or maybe even an Anniversary card. Life is going well. I blog about my cancer journey at www.byebyehooters.blogspot.com you are welcome to go visit. Cancer has sort of taken over my life and I have to get back into the groove of things. My stamping room is dusty because I haven't been downstairs until now to make a card. I have been some what depressed and haven't even been interested in making anything! But I am glad I did. I am purchasing some stamps from a friend of mine which are breast cancer stamps and I am eager to make a card with one of them. I will post as soon as I get it together. I have missed the world of card making and I am back. Be ready because here comes some creations. I think my goal is to try and make cards and I also have a cricuit machine that can die cut out boxes to decorate and I want to make one for my Aunt in Texas who has been so grateful to me these last few months. I wanted to post to say that I have not forgot about my card blog. I have no excuse my being lazy. I have been a bit depressed lately and just can't get motivated. I sit beside my stamping room every night when I am on the computer and I tell myself, make a card, make a card do it Stephanie but I just can't find the strength to do so. I have not forgot about you and I promise I will get it together soon. I have been busy with my health and just been sorta down I apologize but I do visit many of your blogs on a daily basis and there is some great art work out there! Thanks for sharing!

Red and white Thank you...

This is another Thank You card that I made for another supporter during my battle with breast cancer. I can't even begin to tell you what type of paper it is all I know is that it was purchased at Michael's. When I purchased the paper I was still pretty much out of it when my sister and I visited there. I do the know the stamp is a $1 stamp from Michael's $1 bin. I love those bins!! I think it turned out really cute and I used my cricuit machine for the cute little flower in the center and my friend absolutely loved the card. I am slowly getting back to normal an I am wanting to really get back into my stamping. I often look over at my table and say I should make a card but then I have no inspiration at this time. I am trying. I have some birthday cards I need to make and I am sure I will get on them eventually. I hope all of you are having a wondeful weekend. I am a Survivor of Breast Cancer

It has been a long 2 months but I am proud to say I am cancer free! I got my last 2 test results yesterday from my oncologist. Surgery to remove both my breasts was 3/30/10 it wasn't as bad as I had thought, the drains had to be the worst part of the whole thing. Once those were out things started to roll a little better. Sleeping is horrible and still is. I am 6 weeks post-op and doing good. I have had 2 fills in my expanders. Expanders are what was inserted under my chest wall muscle at the time of surgery for the reconstruction of my breasts. I never in a million years figured I would ever have breast implants but low and behold here I am today and I am going to have them in about 5-6 more months :) wink! I am filled to 540 cc's of saline solution and I am going to 800-900 cc's once I get to that then we wait for 3-4 months while the tissue and muscle expand then off to surgery we go again for the exchange and I get my new implants. Once I complete that part which is a 3 week recovery then I get my nipple's tattooed. I know incredible right! I was astonished myself at what these plastic surgeon's can really do it is remarkable. But I am getting back into stamping I know this has nothing to do about stamping or card making but I wanted to let all my followers know my progress. I also have another blog - it is a diary or my journey a few of you have been following it and I thank you for all the comments and support. This thank you I made about a week or so ago. I have been having so much fun with my cricut machine. I love how it can cut out so many fun shapes. I love flowers and butterflies too. This thank you was so easy to make and I have been trying to make them easy as possible since I am just now getting back to stamping after my surgery. The stamp that I used on this card is from Michael's $1 bin you can never beat that! :) I have done a little bit of scrapbooking and my kids are all over me telling me to hurry up and get the pages completed well... my oldest daughter is 17 and I am on her first Christmas page and she was 9 days old at that time so that tells you jut how far I have got LOL! It is a shame but honestly I am not one that can take on many scrapbook pages it just takes me too long to do 1 page. I finished 1 page yesterday and it took me all day long. Anyway, I hope you like this thank you and I hope to have more uploaded soon. Also check the side bar for the picture of my daughter at Prom. Her prom was last Saturday night 4/24/10. I am so proud of her. She will be a Senior next year and I am just so happy she has strived to do so good in school. She has a 3.87 GPA almost a 4.0! :) wink!

Hi peeps! Well... I have survived breast cancer and I am on the road to recovery sooooooooo what better way to start a new beginning for me then to share a few thank you cards that I have made for people who have given me support through my battle with breast cancer. First up is such a gorgeous card I made the flowers with my cricut machine the cartridge that was used is called "Sweet Treats" The paper I used came from "The Sweet Stack" it is a stack of 48 delicious prints. I just think this one is absolutely adorable. I also adhered buttons to the center of each flower :) I sure hope ya'll like it. I am feeling much better and on my road to recovery and I finally felt up to making some cards and getting back to life as I used to know it. I guess you could say "Normal" I have a few more cards to share today so I will be uploading a few more. I hope all of you are doing great and I hope you have a happy stamping day!

Update... I have Breast Cancer

The biopsy results came back - I have DCIS Breast Cancer which is a Stage 0- I am very thankful that I caught it in it's early stages. I am very scared and overwelmed with everything. All the big words and what is next are the scariest. I am trying to stay positive. DCIS Breast Cancer (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ) which means the cancer is confined to the milk duct which it is non invasive meaning it has not spread outside the milk duct. Which gives me time to make a decision as to what is the best health decision for me. My Mother had Stage 5 cancer when she was diagnosed. There are so many questions to be answered. With a family medical history of breast cancer starting with my Mother and 2 sister's do I remove both breasts? Do I want to deal with this again? I am always going to be worried, has the cancer come back? Do I want to do radiation? My mind is racing as you can tell. Here are some things I need to consider:
Both of my breasts are dense (meaning Mammogram can't always detect cancer) my left breast is full of cysts. Now my right breast has cancer. If I decide to do a lumpectomy following 7 weeks of radiation there is a "possibility" of the cancer returning which is true for anyone that developes cancer. Or do I have an MRI and a hereditery test to find out if I have the Breast Cancer Gene and then make my decision? Here are my thoughts- if I do the MRI and it comes back ok and if I do the gene testing and it is positive I think a full mastectomy is my choice. Honestly I am leaning more towards a full Mastectomy but I want to talk it over with my surgeon and let her decide what is the best possible treatment for me. I am scared out of my mind ladies... so many thoughts emotions you feel I can't even describe them to you. I was so depressed yesterday I slept most of the day. Today I am up on the internet trying to learn more about this disease and learn and see actual pictures of reconstructive breasts after Mastectomy. It is not a pretty sight I won't lie the breasts are certainly not the same as before but is my life worth more than having breasts? They are just there on my chest doing nothing right? Anywho ladies I wanted to fill you in on what has taken place I may not be online as everything has to stop to take care of my health. I do not feel I will be creating anything for a while maybe after I get through the next couple of months. I promise to keep you all posted on my progress and my decisions. Thank you all for all your prayers and blessings-- I appreciate it so much. Until I find out more I am leaving you with a positive attitude that I am going to beat this!!!!!!

I had a pretty bad day yesterday.... Went for my 6 month check up for my Mammogram and Sonogram. I have had some problems with cysts in my left so the follow up visit was to check it. To my surprise the left is fine no change but they found a lump the size of a quarter with about 20 smaller masses inside that round shaped quarter on my right side in the front area. My world came crashing down yesterday, I am certainly thinking positive today that it isn't cancer. But doctor said it is a 70% chance it could be cancer with my family history. My Mother died from Breast Cancer in 1995 my oldest sister on my Father's side in 2003 and my youngest sister on my Father's side was just diagnoised did radiation and it is now gone. The word "Cancer" is not something you want to hear ever! I did a lot of crying a lot of praying lastnight - I will know the results today between 1-4pm I am very upset and worried of course that is normal for any human being. But good news is that I have been faithful in my doctor visits since 2007 every 6 months I have had a mammogram. I know this has nothing to do with Stamping but sometimes it feels good to let it out there and get it off your chest. So many things ran through my mind the minute the doctor said, I have good news and bad news. So keep me in your thoughts and prayers today.... Have a happy stamping day girls....

Celebrate Spring

Oh yes! Are you ready to Celebrate Spring? I am! I put this cute little card together and I used my cricut machine to make the scrolls for the stem in the flowers. The flowers are primsa flowers and the big shiney one came in one of my card maker kits a while back. I also adhered little buttons in the center of both flowers. It screams warm weather! Hooray! I am so ready to open the windows listen to the little birds churp of a morning, the smell of grass, flowers ahhhh I can't wait!!!! You all have a wonderful Tueday!!! And think Spring!!!!

I made this cute little birthday card over the weekend using some paper's that I purchased at Michael's that came in a pack. I used stickles on all 3 cupcakes to add that glitter touch! I think this one is really cute... I just love to color in images. I neglected to put ribbon on the card, and that is soooooooooooo hard for me cause I love ribbon :) I cut the circles out using my cricut machine. I love that machine it is awsome! Monday was sure a busy day I never thought it was going to end. I was on the go from 5 am yesterday morning until 10:30 p.m. lastnight when I finally laid my head down and took a big sigh of relief to finally relax.. I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Thinking of You card. This card was very easy to make. Lavender card stock for the base. Then I combined green and purple together with both these gorgeous patterned papers. I have had them so long I can't remember their name. I added a beautiful purple flower, green ribbon and stamped "Thinking of You" on the top right hand corner. The green stripped ribbon was purchased at Hobby Lobby sometime ago. I am thinking about sending this one to my sister in Texas. I think about her a lot she has been having some medical issue's and I just would like to brighten her day. Well.. after turning 40 I had to go see the ole doctor... I may have to have surgery in the next 2 months which I am not really upset about as it is going to make me feel so much better. I have been having issue's with my feminine parts for a while now and it has just got worse. On top of that I have cysts in my both breasts and now I have to go get a Mammogram and sonogram next Wednesday I keep my fingers crossed - My beautiful Mother passed away from Breast Cancer 14 years ago and I do not want to go through that ever! I watched her suffer for 2 years with it. Anywho I hope you enjoy the card peeps! talk to you soon

Well besides my birthday being today I have several co-workers who have birthday's this week as well. This card I made for my good friend Adele. She asked me to make her a Birthday card and this is what I came up with. I used my cricket machine to cut out the word "Birthday" and also the circles on the card . The paper came from my card maker kit that I get in the mail each month. I adhered a pretty blue and white flower using a brad to secure it. I also used a dazzel bead for the dot in the letter "i"- I truly hope she likes it. I absolutely love my cricut machine it can do anything honestly. Well I am "40" today! I have had a good morning so far.... Flowers, cards, phone calls I guess you can say I am loved... :)

Good Morning Peeps! Another week has begun! I am posting this thank you card I was able to make this weekend. I have made this same card before and I have had a lot of compliments. Card base is black layered with white, then I used a black and white patterned paper I think it is called Wedding Sentiment from The Paper Studio - I think cute a square in black and layered it in white, added another patterned paper black and white. I used my scalloped punch - stamped "Thank You" in black ink and punched out 3 white daisies with my daisy punch. I adhered them to the card with silver brads. Added a gorgeous red ribbon. Is this not pretty pretty! :) I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Tomorrow is my "40th" Birthday! Ouch! yeah the big "40" I have been tripping about it for months now. I can not believe it is already here. Time has flown by. I was thinking this morning - how life has changed my oldest is almost 18 my youngest is almost 14 - and my step daughters are growing older too. We have another grandchild on the way next month a little girl. When I look back at all my other Birthday's this one has a big impact on me. I need to start thinking more about the future and my health - it is time for me for a change. I have smoked since I was 15 and I want to quit very badly. Both my parents and many of my siblings smoke too. I am the baby out of 11 kids. I also need a weight loss program not that I am that much over weight but a good 30 pounds would sure feel great! :) so I have some goals when I hit "40" tomorrow it all starts tomorrow. Hi Peeps! Wow! I am so so sorry! I have had so much going on and I still have not had time to sit down and do any crafting. I did receive a email about a craft show in October that I want to do so that might modivate me to get going. I have seen a lot of your creations and they are gorgeous! I have not forgot about you! I promise I keep telling myself go stamp but never find the time. My evenings are shot. I had a car wreck this morning so that wasn't good but it was just a little fender bender not much damage thank goodness... I hope and pray to get busy this weekend... I promise peeps! I do I do!!!! Teaching my oldest daughter who is 17 how to drive plus I bought her a new car has been stressing me out. And all my Avon orders, basketball games I haven't had anytime at all to sit and create... Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge

Here is the card that I made for Mojo Monday's sketch challenge. Card base is black, then I used tinted dawn pink from The Paper Studio, the patterned paper with the stars is called pink & black stars from The Paper Studio, the stamp is House Mouse "Party Mouse Monica" from Stampabilities. I colored Monica in with water colored pencils, then I added hot pink stickles to the party hat. I put a little bit of pink in her ears and cheeks and also her cute little button nose. I tied a black ribbon, and using my cricuit machine I cut out 2 squares for the sentiment. The sentiment is a small square stamp that came with a group of other small stamps not sure of maker. I think this little mouse is truly cute cute! Now her tail is a little longer which wasn't stamped on the circle punch it wouldn't fit. I also added white dots around the scalloped punch to make that part of the card stand out. I hope you like Peeps! It is really foggy here today in Kansas, it has been this way for about 4 days now. I am really tired of it. I am so ready for spring.... Have a Happy Stamping Day ladies!!!

Weekend color challenge card loaded...

Here is the card that I made for my weekend challenge not the best picture in the world but it was the best I could do. The butterflies were made using my cricuit machine then I added some little diamond beads to the body of the butterflies and I also used stickles in and around the inside of the butterflies. I took 3 pink buttons and adhered them to the bottom left of the card. I added black ribbon with light pink ribbon over it. The patterned paper is called Silver Wedding Intricate from The Paper Studio! I am very pleased with this card. I could use it for a birthday card, get well, new baby you name it. But I just fell in love with the colors from the photo and I thought hey what a great weekend challenge this would be. Also a few have asked where did I find the bedding, honestly I am not sure, all I did was googled black/white and pink bedding and it popped up. So then I used it! I have had a very nice relaxing weekend. We went to the Casino both Friday and Saturday nights it was a lot of fun. We won some we lost some... I am now cooking 2 full chickens in my roasting oven I used fresh lemons, salt/pepper, onion and 1 jalapeno. I so hope it turns out it sure does make the house smell really good :) Well I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am working on my blog making some changes please bare with me while I put the final touches on it. Good Morning Peeps! It is a beautiful Wednesday and I have a card to share with you! I made this Valentine lastnight right before bed. Card base is red, layered with black and then white - the patterned paper is called Wedding Demask from The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Studio G and is a $1 stamp! Can't beat that! :) I wanted to put something together using black white and a touch of red. So I added the red ribbon and used red ink for the sentiment to give it that personal touch. Baby It's Cold Outside!

This card sure says it all!!! This is my Bella card... I used watercolor pencils to color her in. The hood, sleeves and boots are done with diamond stickles. I punched out 3 snowflakes using my snowflake punch. I also used my circle spellbinder for the circle's and added blue and white snowflake paper to the circle punch. The sentiment was typed from a word document and adhered to the card. Thought this was perfect for today and everywhere in the USA with the frigid temperatures... BRRRRR!!! This is a card layout that I use many times during Valentine's Day. The card base is tinted dawn from The Paper Studio. I used 2 glitter heart stickers for the side bar on the card. The sentiment is "Happy Valentine's Day" is from Studio G a $1 stamp can't beat that one! The silver heart is an embelishment that comes in a package of 20 that I purchased at Michael's. I tied the card with a nice soft pink ribbon. I also added 2 pink bows that have 1 little pearl in the center of each bow. This card is too cute. I have people order this card from me for several years now. I got the layout from Split Coast and it has been a hit ever since. It is FREEZING here this morning. Woke up to 6 degree's by noon it will be 8 degree's the wind is blowing so hard. We live in Kansas so there is nothing blocking that frigid cold air. BRRR! My little puppy Buster I let him out he didn't even make it to the grass he made it down the 3rd step on the porch and well you know what happened next LOL! poor little baby. He had his little sweater on too. Well... everyone keep warm that is it for today Peeps! I hope to huddle in my house all weekend and be able to create some more Valentine Cards and I have a few birthday cards to do as well. I am going to get our my cricut machine I love that thing!!! I wanted to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas! It is Christmas Eve and we are having a blizzard here in Kansas. It is freezing cold and the wind is terrible. Blowing snow. It started out as sleet and now it is blowing snow. It is bitter cold out. I am working tonight this is my Holiday to work I get off at midnight so my Christmas won't start until then. My family is home baking cookies and enjoying time together while I am working... Big bummer! But where I work we are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and Holiday's and we all have to work 2 holiday's a year and this one is my second one. Oh well... tomorrow we will spend a lot of time together :) It is wonderful we are having a white Christmas! It is beautiful especially all the houses and lights. I can't wait until morning when all my kids get up to see that Santa visited our house :) **happy dance** enjoy the holiday's everyone...

Another Birthday card! Wow I have had a lot of Birthday's this month! Anywho this one is for my Mother-in-law to be her birthday is on the 20th same day as my youngest daughter who will be turning 13! I used my cricut machine on this card. I die cut the butterfly then took some patterned paper pink and white polka dots and made the 2nd butterfly a little smaller and used my scroll pattern. I adhered several flowers to the card and also printed out die cuts for the scrolls along the right side of the card, and stamped Birthday Wishes in the lower left hand corner. Ladies! I absolutely love my cricut! IF you don't have one GET ONE! It is an awsome machine! I have been so busy with Christmas things will I ever get done? AGGHHH! I am off work tomorrow (hooray for me) happy dance so I am off to get everything I can finish up tomorrow. A birthday card I put together for a co-worker, her name is Keely so that is why there is a "K" in the middle of the star. I cut out the stars using my cricut machine. The paper is birthday circles from The Paper Studio. I had no idea her favorite color was orange which I used as the base on the card. She really liked her birthday card. I am working on some projects for Christmas and hope to have them finished so I can post a picture of them soon. Hope all of you are having a wonderful Thursday!

60th Birthday

I am so proud of this card! My sister turns "60" in January and we are having her a surprise "60th" birthday party! So I was tired of making Christmas cards and stuff so I decided I would go ahead and make her Birthday card. I used black card stock for the base. Then I layered it with yellow... btw yellow is her favorite color. Then I used a black and cream patterned paper from The Paper Studio which is a wedding design. I used my cricut machine to cut out the numbers "60" I cut out the yellow, then black and then yellow again. Each time making the 6 and the 0 a little smaller to layer it on the card as shown. I adhered some beautiful primsa flowers and I also added some stickles on the one in the lower left hand corner with a nice blue bead to offset the colors. I then used my cricut to cut out the two butterflies that are on the card. I cut them out in black paper first. Then I did a shadow effect which cut out the yellow die cut butterfly. The one at the top has a scroll effect and I added some stickles to it as well to give it some shine! I also added some glitter beads to the bottom of the butterfly. The one in the right hand corner was done the same without the scroll effect. I tied it with a beautful yellow ribbon. I also added stickles around the number 60 to give it some bling bling! I sooooooo hope she likes this card I am very proud of this card. I would have to say I put a lot of thought into this one and took extra time to make it perfect! Let me know what you ladies think. We woke up to freezing temperatures this morning it is with the wind chilll -7 below... BRRRRRRRR!

"17th" Birthday! my little girl

My little girl turned "17" today! My how the years have flown by. I remember that morning when she was born, I had been up all night with no sleep as I had a scheduled c-section because she was breech. I was super scared! She finally arrived at 7:35 a.m. we didn't have a sonogram so we were very surprised to find out she was a girl! She was beautiful! I have watched her grow, from her first smile, her first words, her first steps, I could go on and on.... I love her so very much! So I put together this card for her Birthday, her favorite colors are black and pink! I used my cricut machine to cut out the "17" and the square around the "17" also the black flower with pink in the lower right hand corner. I so hope she likes it.

Winter Weather Advisory

We have had freezing rain since 6:30 a.m. this morning, and on top of that we are anticipating 4 inches of snow over night. Taylor Swift Concert Tickets!!!! Happy Dance

I wanted to get my girls tickets to Taylor Swift she is coming to Wichita April 1, 2010- I got 2 yesterday during the pre-sale and was able to get 2 more today - her concert sold out in 10 minutes!!! I am so happy, I hope I can keep it a secret until Christmas morning! That is going to be the highlight on Christmas morning! My girls are going to probably jump around, fall down and probably cry when they see these tickets in their hand... The website at select-a-seat was hot, I was so lucky to be able to get in and get those 2 tickets this morning! I am super pumped today! I can't hardly stand it!!!!! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend... Now i have to figure out how I wanna wrap these tickets up to give to the girls on Christmas! Hugs!

Ornament Card "My Favorite"

This card is my favorite one of all. I think using the gold ribbon on this one really makes it pop! Everything on this card I love. This next card is I used white card stock as the base, layered in red. Then I used Red Country Crackle from The Paper Studio, I cut out the scallop and circle's on the card using my cricut expression. I adhered a nice bright red ribbon, and cut out a tag using my cricut expression and added the sentiment "Season's Greetings" with a green brad. I absolutely love the patterned paper on this card... You can use so many colors with this paper.

Wow! It has been so long since I have posted anything on my blog. I apologize ladies. I have been super busy. First the crash with the deer, then I started selling Avon and that has taken up a lot of my time. Thanksgiving and now getting house decorated and ready for Christmas! I was lucky enough on Black Friday to purchase a Cricut Expression Machine! I am super dooper excited **happy dance** The things you can do with this machine is amazing! It was on sale for $180 and it retails for $399 so I got a really good deal. So I decided I would make my own Christmas cards since I can multi task with the machine. The first card is Trendy Christmas Mix from the Paper Studio (that is the Christmas tree's) the polka dotted circles is called Moving Dots by Penny Lane. I cut the scalloped punch and both circle punches using my cricut machine. I adhered a nice shinny pink ribbon and used my snowflake punch for the snowflake on the ribbon with a nice blue button. The sentiment is from a word document and I then adhered it to the back of the pink card stock. I have had so much fun using this machine. I have wanted one for so long and now I have one. No need for punches when you can just use the cricut machine! The scalloped circle punch is an actual flower that is 3 1/2 inches around. You can adjust any image to whatever size you need it to be. I absolutely love pinks and blues at Christmas time so these two papers went well together. The polka dotted paper is not even a Christmas theme but worked out well with the Trendy Christmas Mix. I promise not to be gone this long again, I miss it. But Avon has really kicked off, and I super excited about that. It is nice to know that I can help people with their skin care, hair, feet etc. I hope to post all my cards tonight but my computer is so slow it takes forever so I may only be able to do this one tonight and I can upload the rest tomorrow. Hit a Deer...

I am sorry I haven't been posting anything, I have had some really bad things going on and just haven't had time to stamp. I haven't made a card in weeks... 2 weeks ago my fiance' and I hit a deer on the turnpike coming North into Wichita. We are both ok. The deer came through the windshield and flipped backwards off the car thank goodness... I have some pictures to share of the car. Now we were able to put the car back together... It cost around $400 out of our own pocket as we only had liability on my car. But at least my car is still drivable. I have a silver hood but other than that I have a new windshield, new light, new wipers and a front clip. Thanks to my wonderful man who made it all possible to get us through the winter without a car payment.. hooray! Here are a few pictures to share... I hope everyone is having a great month and are ready for Thanksgiving, cause I sure am **happy dance**

All cards must be in my hands no later than that date or they can not be mailed. You can make as many cards as you want, but I want them to be Christmas Theme. Another Happy Birthday card using my Bella Stamp. I used white card base, then black then Pink Stitch from The Paper Studio. I adhered some flowers to the top left of the card, then a Black base and I used my corner punch to give the corners a rounded look. I colored her in with watercolored pencils. I added some diamond stickles to the 2nd present she is holding. I also adhered 2 hot pink and black ribbons to the card. She turned out really cute and I am pleased. This stamp I do actually have but my devine sister did send me a few of these stamp images (she didn't know I had them) Have a wonderful Sunday folks. I think I might put together a Halloween card for my great neices and nephews in Texas. They just love getting cards from me.

Happy Birthday Card "Bella"

Happy Birthday Bella Card! I recently got a cuttlebug and let me tell you, I am enjoying it so much. I didn't have any die's so my boss at work she gave me some dies to play around with. I used several dies for this card - I ran each one through the cuttlebug using different colored paper. I then used the circle spellbinders set and die cut them through the cuttlebug and adhered them to the card and as you can see they are different sizes along with different die prints on them. The Bella image is one from my big sister through Devine Sister Siblings Group at Split Coast. She has sent me several Bella images for me to play with. I colored her in with water colored pencils, I added fruit punch stickles for the cherry on top of the cupcake and then I added diamond stickles to the bottom of the cupcake as well as purple stickles on the polka dots on her dress! Stickles are my New Best Friend!!! I love them. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a word document that I printed and cut to shape the card. I tied it with a pretty purple ribbon. This card is going to a African American friend of mine whose birthday is on Tuesday :) I am having a wonderful weekend - I have done some scrapbooking - As I go through birth pictures, crawling pictures and several others I stop and think how quickly time has gone raising my daughters. Both my children are growing up my oldest with graduate next year. I just can't believe it. Sad because I miss them being small but also a blessing watching them grow, and seeing all the things they have accomplished in their life. I love them so very much.... I have another card to post I hope all of you are having a great weekend... Halloween is almost here! My favorite time. But what is funny I haven't made not one Halloween card. Maybe I should put together some tonight. :)

This is my card using my new Inkadinkado set! This little turtle is one of many animals in this set. I colored this cute little guy in with watercolored pencils and added purple stickles to the circles on him. The paper is My Mind's Eye called Purple Circles, then Penny Lane Purple Flowers. I added the sentiment "Hey There" using word document. Added some flowers and 2 brads at the top of the card as well as my circle punch. Pretty cute!

This is an image that my Big Sis sent me in our DSS challenge off SplitCoaststampers. I colored the image in with watercolored pencils and added stickles to the purse and the big dog... I also added the 3 little beads to the right side of the card which totally messed up and got glue around one of them so I decided to put some stickles around all 3 to cover it up and I don't like that part of the card at all. The sentiment was printed from "word" and adhered to the card stock. Otherwise really cute card. Been so busy at work and we have been restriced to internet sites and one of them being my blog AGGGHHH! I normally do all my posts from work and now I have to be careful when posting... Here is another Christmas card using my Classic Snowflake paper. I think out of the 3 different sketches I like this one the best. And I am not even using my new snowflake punch which I am a little bummed but oh well. Tell me what you all think? Awwww! Isn't she adorable? I love how this card turned out! I used Birthday Polka Dots and Birthday Stripes on this card, card base is orange with yellow layered over it. I adhered a bright yellow ribbon to the card- I colored her in with watercolor pencils and added some "fruit punch" stickles to the pink polka dots and "diamond" stickles to the green and yellow polka dots. I also adhered the "25" to the card using glitter stickers. I cut her out to adhere her to the card... gosh that wasn't very easy but all in all it turned out really cute. This is so Corissa! She is all bright and bubbly so I knew this card would be perfect for her.

50th Birthday Card

A friend of mine asked me to make her Mother a "50th" Birthday card and this is what I decided to do. I punched out several different peices of patterned paper using my circle punch. I then used my scalloped punch in black to adhere all the circle punches to. I added 3 dazzle beads and a beautiful red ribbon. I also adhered with glitter stickers "50" I sure hope she likes it. I have a few more cards to upload this morning. Hope all of you have a happy stamping Wednesday!

I put a few cards together lastnight but I haven't had a chance to upload them to my blog. I purchased some stickles this past weekend and I think stickles are now my new best friend. I couldn't believe how well they make a card pop! I made a birthday card lastnight and I used two different colors of stickles- I left the card at home so it could finish drying. I upload my pictures here at work since the system is so much faster. I hope to have my pictures uploaded for you all tomorrow. I had a fantastic weekend my honey and I won over $2500 at the Casino's this weekend. Yes Yes I am a Casino junkie but it was well worth the trip... Have a great Tuesday Peeps! :) Wink!

This next card is a Christmas card I am working on what layout I really want to utilize for this. I purchased the classic snowflake paper the other night and I am just experimenting different layouts. I am not sure if I like this one or not? This card I put together for my bosses wife. She loves ships and lighthouse etc. I used my Inkadinkado set for this card. Using dark brown for card base layered in light blue I stamped the 3 images on watercolor paper so I could give the effect of water under the boat. I also put some stickles on the sun to make it a little brighter and then I stamped the little bird down in the lower right hand corner. I added 3 buttons to make and a beige ribbon. He loved it when I showed it to him this morning. Today is my Friday I happened to work for a co-worker on Sunday so I am off tomorrow 3 day weekend ---Happy Dance--- :) I have another card to post it is for Christmas. I am experimenting with Christmas cards so I can get exactly what I want to mail out this year.

My sister's best friend was just diagnoised with stage 1 breast cancer. Her name is Judy she is devistated. So I made her a card to send in the mail today to let her know that we are all thinking about her during this difficult time. The card base is orange, layered is olive green. The patterned paper is from "My Mind's Eye" and is called "Spring In Bloom" the "Thinking of You" stamp is I believe from stampendous not exactly sure. The ribbon is from Stampin up and then I adhered some prima flowers and added 2 dazzel beads. I sure hope this lifts her spirits with this terrible news she was given about a week ago. I hope all of you have a wonderful Wednesday! The weekend is almost here! Hooray!!! I hope to create something new tonight to post tomorrow... I am in a creating mood this week.

Here is my take on Spoon full of Sugar Challenge - the sketch this week is Christmas Cards. Card base is more of a brick red, the patterned paper is "Classic Snowflake" from The Paper Studio. I used my new snowflake punch for the embellishments and then I adhered 2 brads to the center of each snowflake. The sentiment is stampendous "Merry Christmas" I also used a white ribbon with a little bit of red on the edges. Very cute quick Christmas card. I have one more card to upload this morning it is Wednesday "Hump Day" we are almost to the weekend ladies "happy dance" :)

Here is my take on the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I used red card stock for base of this card, then white and then green. The patterned paper is Vertical Christmas from "The Paper Studio" My stamped image is one that I have had for many years and I do not know the name of it. It came in a box of stamps that I purchased on ebay. I colored the image in with colored pencils and I added some white stickles to the bells and stars. Added a nice green ribbon. The sentiment is from my new Inkadinkado set. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I was only able to make this card lastnight as it was so late when I got home. Hope everyone has a happy stamping Tuesday!

This is a little basket I made for my Devine Sister Sibling Group. I honestly can not tell you where I found this idea? I sure do wish I knew. It was so simple to make and turned out so cute! You would need double sided paper for this project. *note* I took 2 12x12 sheets and glued them together* I let them dry. I then folded the paper into this adorable little basket. I added some treats for her as well. I have 3 stamps some Rhinestones Strass, altoids and a little picture frame for her. We have to spend within a 3 month time period $15 on our little Sis. This will be my gift to her. I hope she likes it? After I folded the paper and made the basket- I added 2 lovely polka dotted flowers, I added 2 brass brads to the center and then I used my "sending you hugs" from the card maker kit I received last month. I just love this! You could fill this up with anything- candy, hot chocolate, marshmellows, popcorn it is a really neat and easy idea. If I do run across where I found the idea I will surely post it on my blog. That is all I have to post today! I hope to make some more wonderful creations tomorrow. Hope you enjoy my posts this morning!

This next card I am posting was very easy to do. It is a Thank You card using glitter stickers. The card base is light brown. I also cut a square peice of patterned paper for the bottom of the card and adhered 3 buttons to match some patterned paper. I took my white gel pen and added the dots around the whole card to give it dimension. Pretty cute and easy way to make a thank you card if you are in a hurry.

Well ladies, I had a fun filled weekend! So let me begin with Friday night. My honey and I decided to go hit the slots again in Newkirk, OK. I took $40 with me as I am not a big gambler and I don't like to blow a lot of money on it. But we went to 3 Casino's I was up by $40 so I had $80! We stopped in the little gas station on our way home and I walked up to a $5 machine and decided to drop a $20 through it as I knew I would probably not win... HA HA! I did WIN! I pushed the button 1 time and hit the JACKPOT! I was in shock! I had never won a Jackpot before! I was just standing there in shock and my wonderful honey wasn't no where around! So the security guard watch the machine while I went and found him, was he in shock! We were smiling big time! I filled out the paper work and away we went! I got home at 3 a.m. I was so pumped I couldn't sleep. So it was a great Friday night. Now to the card I am posting. I bought this stamp set at Michael's on Sunday. Isn't he the cutest little giraffe? The set is from Inkadinkado and it also has a Lion, Monkey and Turtle I believe in this set. I used dark brown for card base the patterned paper I've had for a while now and I am not sure what the name of it is. I colored him in with colored pencils and I added a little bit of stickles in the horns. I used my small punch for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment. I tied a bright yellow ribbon and added a cute little blue bottom in the tie part of the ribbon. I have a couple more things to post today! Have a wonderul Monday peeps!

She got the idea from Heather Bailey's blog and I always thought about fabric flowers on cards but Dawn has impressed me so much with this gorgeous card she has made. This is the other card I made last night using my card maker kit. I received light blue and brown paper and this stripped paper that has glitter on it. The "Get Well" sentiment and the "Wishing you a fast recovery" are punches. I adhered them using circle dots as well as the daisy punches. I used my treading water scallopped punch for the bottom of the card. I really do like most of their kits that I have received there just isn't a lot of information on the card stock etc. about who it is made from? I have made and used almost all if not some of the kit each month and I have received them for about 8 months now. I get a lot of cool supplies some I use and some I just don't think I would ever use. I am sending this card to my sister in Texas as she has been having some health issue's and I hope she gets better. It is hump day so everyone have a happy hump day! I am so ready for the weekend!

Mojo Monday Challenge my card

Here is my take on Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge sorry it has taken so long to post it.. I used all the material on this card from my card maker kit that I received this month. The only thing that is not from the card maker kit is the stamp sentiment "Happy Birthday" I really like the colors in the striped paper and the daisy punches do look nice on the card as well... I didn't have a circle punch that would work for this sketch so I just used my treading water scallopped punch for the effect at the bottom of the card. I have seen a few of the cards that have been uploaded to Mojo Monday's sketch challenge for this week. I have one more card after this one to post using the same papers but a little different have a wonderful happy stamping day peeps!

Birthday Party!

My step-daughter Tatum turned "5" on Wednesday the 16th and we were having a party for her this past Saturday. I had got everything done but the invites, totally forgot about them. Thank goodness we were only inviting the neighborhood kido's so I had to put together some quick and easy invites... And this is what I did! I had not done anything like this before and it was super easy. I used my computer to type up the wording for the front of the card and also the inside of the card. It took me as little as 30 minutes to complete... The Birthday party was a hit and here are some pictures to share.... Tatum is the one in the middle that is being held up in the air.

Billy Boot a Bella!

My wonderful DSS sent me this Billy Boot a Bella from Stamping Bella last week and I decided to put something together using her. I used purple card stock for the base from The Paper Studio. I colored her in using my watercolor pencils. I added a sweet white ribbon and some primsa flowers purple and one with purple and green added a white brad to the center of both flowers that I adhered to the card. I also used my treading water punch for square that the image is mounted to. The dp is also from The Paper Studio. I didn't stamp a sentiment to the outside of the card nor did I for the inside but now looking at the card I think a sentiment on the inside of the card would be good... something like maybe "Sending you sunshine" - I sat at my wonderful stamping table and I tried to figure out what I wanted to do for Mojo Monday's challenge and I was blank. Have you ever done that? I hope tonight will be a better night for me for creating. So I just sat there and my little step daughter Tatum came downstairs and we started talking she started playing with my hair and of course I finally got sleepy. We listened to music and before I knew it - it was 9:00 p.m. I said oh it is time for bed Tate. So off we went to go night night and I sure did need it. I am refreshed and ready for a new day. Well with my busy schedule I missed last weeks MOJO Monday! AGGGHHH! I am definately putting aside everything to do this challenge - If you want to take a peak at some of the examples at Mojo Monday blog there are some beautiful cards made with this layout and I just hope I can pull it off in making one just as gorgeous. If you notice I have been messing with my blog quite a bit. I am so undecided on colors etc. I think my next step is to have a template made so I can just keep it and forget trying to find the perfect layout. This lovely card is going to my little sis in my divine secret sibling round... I actually received the image from my Big Sister from divine secret sibling, she has mailed me several Bella Images and I had to get busy and make something with them....I am also sending my lil sis some stamped Christmas images in the card from my new Inkadinkado set. Ok back to the card. I used turquoise for the card base from the paper studio. I then layered it with yellow then a hot pink over that. The patterned paper is from the paper studio it is called "summer dots" and "summer stripes" all from the paper studio. I added a sparkle bead to the center of the daisy and I colored her in using watercolor pencils. I added a pretty yellow ribbon... I so hope she likes it. I have neglected my blog for sometime been just lazy.. I hope to get back in the grove and maybe making these 2 cards last night will help me :) today is my little ones 5th Birthday! I can't believe she is already "5" she came into my life when she was 9 months old still on the bottle and not even walking. I have watched her grow and she has learned so much... her Mother left when she was 6 weeks old and Rusty took over being a single Daddy until I came into their life 9 months later. I love her just as much as I love my own girls... I hope all you have a wonderful and Happy Hump Day :) wink!

Here is a card I made for a friend of mine who's birthday is on the 22nd. I used tinted dawn card base from the paper studio, pink polka dot paper, also used black on top of the base card, as well as using my treading water punch for the side embellishment. I got this stamped image from my divine secret sibling I am playing along on at Splitcoastampers. It is a fun way to get to know people. We play a long for 3 months and in those 3 months you send them cards and gifts that range up to but not over $15 within those 3 months. So my first card I received I got this cuppacakeabella so I decided to put it to good use. I added some glitter to the cup cake part of the stamp after I had watercolored the image. She turned out really cute!

This adorable little dolly is Kate and I first heard about her story on Dawn McVey's blog and her dear friend Jennifer McGuire tweeted about her on Twitter. Kate is 5 years old and she's fighting cancer and you can read all about her story at www.prayforkate.com. Jennifer has decided to do a card drive for little Kate and her family as a way of encouraging them thru this awful challenge they're facing. If you would like to send a card to Kate or any member of her family, please read all the details on Jennifer's blog about how to send them. Jennifer is asking that all the cards be sent to her in time to arrive by Oct. 1 which is still a month away!

Mostly, would you join with me in praying for Kate's healing and for her family as they deal with the struggles of chemo (and the chemo making Kate sick) and hospitals and tests and all the stress that is involved with treating such a horrible disease? I know that her family would ask for your prayers first and foremost, knowing that God holds them all in the palm of His hand and He is certainly able to do great and mighty things...even in Kate's sweet little body.

Jaycee Dugard...

I know this has nothing to do with stamping but I have to post what I am feeling about this entire story. This is the most bizarre story I have ever heard... and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jaycee and her family and I thank the Lord above she was able to survive and was found alive! What a miracle... But also what a horrible mess this man has created for this innocent little girl who is now a woman. I do not understand what has happened? I can't understand how someone or anyone could have missed seeing this for 18 years it makes absolutely no sense to me. To have all those sheds and a tent in the back yard and no one detected it? And shame on the parole officers for not investigating this more when they did a check up on her kidnapper. And to also find the car that was used in the kidnapping in 1991 be found on the property? What this horrible man and woman has put Jaycee's family through, God Bless them all... Jaycee I am so thankful you are at home with your Mother... We are all thinking about you....

Orange/Hot Pink!

This card was made for a 15 year old's Birthday. I used Hot Pink card stock, the dp is Linen stripe and Linen polka dots all from The Paper Studio. I added a hot pink ribbon, hot pink flower which is from Spare Parts The Paper Studio. I also added 2 more pink and orange flowers on the lower right hand corner and added some dazzle beads at the top of the card. I am very busy this morning at work so this card is quick... Have a good Monday Ladies!

A friend of mine asked me to put together something for her Dad because he has done so many special things for her and her family. This is what I whipped up for her. Card base is pale blue from The Paper Studio. The DP is Coco & Blue large Argyle, with Cute blue stripes from the Paper Studio. The lighthouse stamp is from Inkadinkado I believe. I adhered 2 blue buttons and tied a bow in both. She then asked me to have the sentiment say "For everything you have sacrified and done for us" Ok so I have no stamps that say that... So I decided to use Word on my computer and type it up and print it. I then used my Coluzzle for the roundness of the sentiment, in white and then in blue. I used cocoa ink from stampin up and went around the edges of the blue circle. I also used my treading water punch for the dark brown at the bottom of the card. I really hope she likes this.... Hope you are all having a good weekend. I had a great time lastnight, my fiance' and I decided to make a trip to the Casino, I won $860 dollars! ***Happy Dance*** I was so excited, I only put $20 in the machine and the thing spun a red spin (which is a bonus) and hit!!! We laughed and laughed, High fived and hugged one another it was hilarious!! I couldn't believe it hit so big like that! Soooooooooooo... I had to put my car in the shop to have the clutch replaced and guess what? I now have the $ to pay for it and all I did was hit a button! Woot Woot another ***Happy Dance*** have a good weekend ladies.....

Birthday card for my Boss... See I told you I had a lot of birthday's here at work this month! I hope he likes it. I do not have very many stamps for masculine cards, but I got these stamps with my card maker kit in June so I thought hey why not try this... All I did was stamp in cocoa ink from stampin up and I used dark brown card stock from The Paper Studio and then used light tan to stamp the images on. I used the clock stamp and a swirly little stamp and a circle flower stamp. I thought the little paper clip would be a nice touch since he is the boss man! Very simple card nothing extrodinar lol! (is that a word?) ha ha! Well.... Hobby Lobby has a sale on all their paper this week 50% off! I am soooooooooo there! What a great way to get start for my craft fair. Yippee! Everyone have a happy fun filled Thursday!

Ok I have went totally nuts over polka dots this last week! Can you tell? This one is so warm though isn't it? And I think I am so liking the black and white polka dotted flower! This one is for another co-worker, they are so blessed to have me here aren't they? LOL! Well... I do have some good news and would like some input from you all. I have been offered to rent a booth at a church in Wichita October 3rd from 9-2pm for a Craft Fair. I am nervous!!!! I want to do this so bad, but that means I will have to do an assembly line to get things going! I am not sure what kind of cards to do? Sets? Individuals? I have never done anything like this before? Should I do Christmas cards? Halloween? Valentine's? WHAT WHAT WHAT? Please if anyone of you have any information for me please let me know! This time I twisted things up a bit with this lovely pink and dark brown birthday card. Dark brown Card stock for the base, tinted dawn for the pink layer, the striped paper is from the paper studio, I adhered 2 pink buttons and added 2 dazzle beads in the center of each, I then got my scalloped punch out and punched the circle part of the card, then I glued together 3 different shaped flowers and added a white brad in the center. I then tied it with a bright hot pink ribbon. I then took my white gel pen and made the dots around the top of the card. The Happy Birthday sentiment is one of my stamps I got from my card maker kit. I truly hope my co-worker likes this one. It is Tuesday, another fun filled day here at work. I hope all you Peeps have a great one! More cards to come later today....
